Proud, deep and rich in American history, Fort Edward played a major role in the French and Indian wars and also was significant in the American Revolution.
Because of the Revolutionary War actions, the New York State Legislature, in 1960, declared the legacy that names Whitehall as the Birthplace of the United States Navy. The Whitehall harbor also produced ships used for service by the U.S. Navy during the War of 1812.
Located on the Champlain Canal, Kingsbury is one of the most populated communities in New York's Washington County. While rich with rural, agricultural charm, the town is conveniently located near major Upstate New York cities, including Glens Falls, Saratoga, and Queensbury.
Fort Ann was the site of a very important Revolutionary War battle that saw the nations new “Stars and Stripes” flown for the first time in battle. The battle, which took place on July 8, 1777, was of great strategic importance and helped America win its independence.

The Glens Falls region is a major producer of medical devices. Glens Falls is home to Navilyst Medical, a medical device maker, previously a regional office of Pfizer and Boston Scientific Corporation.
The town is noted for its amusement parks, golf courses, downhill and cross-country ski trails. The Warren County Bike Path runs from Lake George through Queensbury to Glens Falls and is a gem of the area. The many local lakes, like Glen Lake, offer easy access to water for swimming, canoeing and boating.
This 32-mile-long "Queen of American Lakes" is chock-full of lodging, attractions, eateries and just about any form of recreation you can name. A significant player in American history, Lake George is the site of two great forts, Fort William Henry and Fort Ticonderoga, both open to the public.
South Glens Falls is home to the historically famous Cooper's Cave, which can be seen from the bridge linking Glens Falls and South Glens Falls. Cooper's Cave was made famous by author James Fenimore Cooper in the first American novel, “The Last of the Mohicans”.
Hudson Falls was named after the river it's nestled alongside, which stretches all the way south to New York City. A charming community in Washington County, Hudson Falls is comfortably situated at the foothills of the Adirondacks and just east of Glens Falls.
